Future Shrewsbury Grant
As part of the Work in Shrewsbury project, our Future Shrewsbury Grant aims to support the growth and evolution of businesses in our town centre. A total fund of £30,000 is available. Grants are available to existing town centre-based businesses (defined as a 15-minute walk from the Square) and new activities that promote vibrancy in the town centre, which are in their first or second year (for example, events).
The Small Capital Grant Scheme for Business
Capital grants from £2,000 to £10,000 are available from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for small and medium-sized businesses (1–49 employees). These grants are designed to enable the purchase of new equipment or investment in premises improvements that will create new jobs, or develop new products, processes or services.
West Midlands SME Grant Programme
Existing small-to-medium-sized businesses based in the Shropshire Council area can apply for grants from £5,000 to £100,000. Businesses must employ less than 250 people, and have been trading for at least six months or more. The majority of applications are expected to be for an average grant of between £10,000 and £20,000.
Marches Energy Grant
In affiliation with the pilot Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS), the Marches Energy Grant (MEG) offers free advice, energy assessments and grants for energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to SMEs from all sectors in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
