Historic Shrewsbury property with retail & office space snapped up in major deal
A well-known Grade II listed building on Pride Hill and the Shrewsbury's iconic Butcher Row has been sold to a private investor in a deal negotiated by property expert Andrew McFarlane-Holt, Director of Wells McFarlane Ltd.
The property totals almost 6,000 sq ft across three freehold units and offers retail and office space. It is currently home to EE, Pride Hill Dental Surgery and Optical Express - all staying put as long-term tenants.
McFarlane-Holt says it’s easy to see why the building caught an investor’s eye:
“Shrewsbury town centre has rapidly become a retail ‘destination’, bolstered by its award-winning market - named Britain’s favourite for the third year running - and its reputation as home to Britain’s Best High Street.”
It’s another sign of confidence in Shrewsbury’s buzzing centre, where heritage and business sit side by side - quite literally.
There’s more activity just around the corner: 3–7 Mardol Head is also on the market and waiting for the right investor to snap it up. This parade of retail units totals over 12,700 sq ft and is occupied by national retailers.
